Occupation: Flight Instructor

Education: Westminster College - Major in Aviation Operations, Minor in Spanish

Interests: Surfing, skiing, kayaking, flying, rock climbing, mountain biking, guitar, and traveling.

Role for the trip: Official tour guide, translator, and police arguer. 

Trip Goals: To eventually find work as a pilot in South America.


Jake Jennings

Age: 26

Occupation: Traffic Control Supervisor.

Education: Westminster College - Double Major in Economics and Business Management.

Interests: Surfing, skiing, kayaking, guitar, growing moustaches, and eating.

Role for the trip: Supervising Derek and Jeremy.

Trip Goals:  To learn Spanish, learn to fly fish, and to explore Latin America. 

Derek Anderson
Age: 26

Occupation: Traveler

Education: Westminster College - Major in Management

Interests: Snowboarding, fly fishing, kayaking, camping, rummy, and, as of recently, surfing. 

Role for the trip: Using his degree to manage Jeremy and Jake.

Trip Goals: To learn Spanish, learn the guitar, and potentially start a guide service in South America.

Occupation: Official VWViaje vehicle.

Education: Roads of the desert southwest.

Interests: Climbing hills in 2nd gear.

Role for the trip: Transportation, shelter, kitchen, beds, and living room.

Trip Goals: To make it to Argentina!
